Road Safety World Series 2021: Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh shines as India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends to clinch the title

India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs in the final of the Road Safety World Series to win the title on Sunday. Indian star batsman Yuvraj Singh continued his good form with the bat and scored 60 runs in just 41 balls.

India Legends on Sunday emerged victorious in the Road Safety World Series final by defeating Sri Lanka legends by 14 runs. India Legends batting first put on a respectable total of 181 runs. Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan had a great day as they scored half-centuries.

Yuvraj Singh scored 60 runs facing 41 balls with 4-fours and 4-sixes while Yusuf Pathan scored unbeaten 62 runs off 36 balls with 4-fours and 5-sixes.

Farveez Maharoof bowled greatly for Sri Lanka Legends, as he gave just 16 runs from his 4-overs spell. Sanath Jayasuriya, Rangana Herath, and Kaushalya Weeraratne also picked up a wicket each.

Chasing a huge total of 182 runs, T.Dilshan and S.Jayasuriya got their side off to a good start as the duo stitched 62 runs partnership for the first wicket.

Yusuf Pathan broke this opening stand by dismissing T.Dilshan and soon dismissed S.Jayasuriya to bring India Legends back in the contest.

After that, Sri Lanka Legends kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs, and despite a great short inning from K.Weeraratne, they fell 14 runs short of the target.

Tillakaratne Dilshan was adjudged player of the series for his 271 runs in 8 matches.
