The World's number one T20I English team lost the 5-match T20I series to India 3–2. This loss before the start of the T20 World Cup scheduled this year is being considered a big setback for England. But England's captain, Eoin Morgan believes that his players can prepare better for the World Cup through the IPL.
Eoin Morgan said that the England cricketers will take full advantage of the Indian Premier League starting on 9th April. Eoin said, "It will be very important to take full advantage of the IPL. As a player or team, we do not just want to be stable in one place. We want to continue marching forward. Whatever chance the players get in the IPL, they will try to take full advantage of it."
England players to take part in IPL 2021.
Eoin Morgan is the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. Other than Morgan, many big players of the English team like Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Sam Curran will also play for different teams in IPL.
England will also play the limited-overs series in Pakistan and Bangladesh to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Morgan says that he will give chance to his best players in the playing 11 such that there are no loop-holes left in the preparations.
In the series against India, Morgan also gave priority to the same players in the playing 11, whose selection in the World Cup team is absolutely certain. Keeping in mind the slow pitches of Asia, the England team can also give chance to Moeen Ali in the playing 11 in the upcoming series against Bangladesh and Pakistan.
It would be interesting to watch how England players perform in the IPL, and eventually in the T20 World Cup.
