In the 2nd match of this IPL season, Chennai Super Kings will be taking on Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. It would be interesting to watch India's former wicket-keeper MSD and the present wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant leading their teams Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals respectively.

Team News:

Chennai Super Kings: Ruturaj Gaikwad could be the team's opener as he proved himself by scoring back-to-back 3 fifties towards the end of CSK's worst IPL campaign last year. N Jagadeesan could also be looked forward as a strong option for opening due to his superb performance in domestic cricket. Josh Hazlewood won't be present for this entire IPL season while Australian Pacer Jason Behrendroff has recently been added to the squad. Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur will be the main pacers for the CSK side. The most interesting part will be to watch how CSK utilizes Cheteshwar Pujara this season. Imran Tahir can possibly get a chance to play more matches.

Delhi Capitals: Shreyas Iyer won't be seen in the field this season as he has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury. It would be interesting to watch how the last year's runner-ups perform under the new skipper Rishabh Pant. Axar Patel having been tested positive of Covid-19 won't be available for 1st match, thus either Amit Mishra or Praveen Dubey could get a chance as spinners. Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav will be handling the pace attack with the support from Marcus Stoinis and Chris Woakes.

Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant(wk/c), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer/Sam Billings, Chris Woakes/Tom Curran, Ravichandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav.
